Montana Liquor Highlights — Week of October 8, 2026
Fresh bottle notes for the second week of October. New listings just hit the state list, a couple of big fall limited releases are in the system, and a few Montana-made bottles are worth a look. Statewide listing doesn’t guarantee it’s on the shelf in Troy. Ask us and we can order it.
Fall limited releases
Clase Azul Día de Muertos 2026 “Trascender” Añejo, 1 liter. This year’s hand-painted ceramic decanter holds two añejos aged more than 30 months, one finished in Champagne casks and one in American whiskey casks. Only 10,000 were made worldwide.
Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition 2026. The 19th edition of this annual release blends four bourbons aged 14 to 23 years, bottled at 109.2 proof. It officially releases Oct. 10, and only about 16,800 bottles are being made.
Old Forester Birthday Bourbon.
New on the state list
Evel Knievel Collection from Land Run Distillery, a nod to Butte’s own daredevil: Pecan Wood finished bourbon, Big Red Rye, and Snake River Reserve 5-year cask strength bourbon.

Portal Rum Trailblazer Spiced Rum (Kalispell). A new spiced rum from the Flathead’s rum makers, with vanilla, toasted cinnamon, and a little peppery heat.
Lolo Creek Hucked Huckleberry Bourbon (Lolo)
Montana 1889 Whiskey from Bozeman Spirits. It’s one of the state’s top-selling Montana-made whiskeys.
Willie’s Montana Honey Moonshine (Ennis)
Last call
Fireball Torch’d Vanilla was a limited edition, and the state warehouse says it’s no longer available. The warehouse is also dropping Lolo Creek Haunted Waters Bourbon, Whitefish Handcrafted River Rock Gin and Wheat Vodka, Blood Oath Trilogy IV, Heaven Hill 90th Anniversary, and The Macallan Night on Earth. Once those bottles are gone, they’re gone.
Canadian whisky fans can relax for now. The state says shipments of products from Canada are business as usual. The state warehouse is closed Monday, Oct. 12, so get special orders in early.
