Troy, MT Liquor Highlights (Agency Liquor Store #70) — Week of October 29, 2026

Booze ‘N Bait is Troy’s liquor store, Agency Liquor Store #70, and this week’s bottle notes for Lincoln County cover the big fall allocations, a fresh batch of new names on the state list, and some Montana-made pours we haven’t talked about yet. With Día de Muertos this weekend and the holidays coming fast, it’s a good time to start asking about the special stuff. Statewide listing doesn’t guarantee it’s on the shelf in Troy. Ask us and we can order it.

Scarce and limited

Clase Azul Añejo Día de Muertos 2026 Limited Edition is on the state list. This year’s edition, called Trascender, blends two añejos aged more than 30 months, one finished in casks used for Champagne wine and one aged in American whiskey casks. It comes in a hand-painted one-liter ceramic decanter, and only 10,000 were made worldwide.
Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition 2026 is listed too. The 19th edition of the annual release is a barrel-strength, non-chill-filtered blend of four batches aged 14 to 23 years, with about 16,800 bottles released. Four Roses describes apricot and light oak on the nose, honey and baking spice on the palate, and fruit, vanilla, and caramel on the finish.
Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is on the list under a new item number. The 2026 release is an 11-year-old bourbon at 97 proof, drawn from 212 barrels on the third floor of Warehouse B, the oldest warehouse at the Brown-Forman distillery.

New on the state list

The Evel Knievel Collection from Land Run Distillery just joined the state list with three bottles, and Butte’s own daredevil makes it a fun one for Montana collectors. Snake River Reserve is a 5-year cask-strength straight bourbon, Big Red Rye is made from just rye and malted barley and named for Evel’s famous touring truck, and the Pecan Wood bourbon is finished with toasted pecan wood and shells.
Dos Hombres Reposado, the new tequila from Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, is aged three months in first-fill Four Roses barrels and then rested another 30 days before bottling.
Wild Common tequila has new 700ml listings for its Blanco, Blanco Still Strength, and Reposado. The tequila is made at the Cascahuin distillery in Jalisco, and the Still Strength blanco is bottled at 100 proof for agave fans who like it bold.

Made in Montana

Montgomery Distillery Ancient Wisdom Rye (Missoula) is on the special-order list, along with a new cask-strength version. The rye is grown on the Montgomery family farm, then milled, fermented, distilled, and bottled in Missoula and rested at least ten years in new charred oak.
Gulch Distillers Burrone Aperitivo (Helena) is a bittersweet herbal liqueur made from Montana grain with citrus peel, rosehip, hibiscus, thyme, and spices. Gulch recommends it chilled, with tonic, or in a spritz.
Spotted Bear Spirits Single Malt Whiskey (Whitefish) is distilled from 100% Montana malted barley in a Scotch style, with notes of orange peel and apricot.
Lolo Creek Distillery Hucked (Lolo) is their huckleberry-flavored bourbon whiskey, and Lolo Creek suggests it in a whiskey sour.

Last call

The warehouse is discontinuing Blood Oath Trilogy IV, Heaven Hill 90th Anniversary bourbon, The Macallan Night on Earth First Light, Fireball Torch’d Vanilla, Lolo Creek Haunted Waters bourbon, Whitefish Handcrafted River Rock Gin and Wheat Vodka, Maestro Dobel Silver tequila, and Skol Orange vodka. Once those bottles are gone, they’re gone.
